Following the success of last year’s 5 events, ‘Rubbish Networking’ – a series of community-driven litter picking meetups – returns in 2023.
There are 3 events planned for this year, with the 1st to take place at Seaclose Park in Newport on 30th June, between 10:00-12:00. The 2nd event will take place at Ryde seafront on 25th August, and the 3rd at Northwood Park on 27th October.
Rubbish Networking offers an opportunity for individuals to engage in a free-to-attend, fun, and friendly litter picking experience. Participants not only contribute to preserving the natural beauty of our biosphere Island, but also have the chance to meet like-minded individuals who share a passion for the environment.
Gloves, bags, and all the necessary equipment will be provided by the event’s sponsor Betapak to ensure comfort and safety. Whether you’re a seasoned litter picker or trying it for the first time, all are welcome to participate.
Everyone is welcome to join at no cost, but you are asked to register each person attending so the organisers understand numbers and can send you event updates. Click here to register.
