A total of 10 roles at Cowes-based UKSA are at risk of redundancy, the charity has confirmed. UKSA – a maritime youth charity and training centre based on Arctic Road – said the decision has come about following a ‘strategic review’ that will ensure they meet the needs of all their beneficiaries as ‘sustainably as possible’. It is understood that the roles at risk are non-executive, however, UKSA has not confirmed which exact job roles are affected. Final decisions haven’t yet been made, but it is hoped that those at risk can take up several new roles that are to be created following the review. A UKSA spokesperson has told Island Echo:
“We aim to ensure we have the right skills across the organisation, to increase the number of beneficiaries’ lives we can impact, and enhance the experience offered at UKSA for the foreseeable future. “To deliver these strategic objectives, we need to make some structural changes within our team, and this means that unfortunately, a total of ten UKSA roles have been identified as being at risk of redundancy. However, as part of the change process, we are creating a number of new roles, and we hope that these roles will be filled by those people who have been identified as being at risk. We will continue to work closely with them to minimise the total number of redundancies. “We value our team greatly at UKSA and we are committed to ensuring we can meet the objectives of this change programme for the benefit of the charity and our beneficiaries, while also minimising the impact on our people who help make all the amazing work we do possible.”
Same old story, the non-executives jobs are at risk. As they have two people on a salary of more than £60,000 and one on more than £90,000 perhaps they should look at these.
Labour Government, great at spending other people’s money, then, when that runs out, borrow on the world markets, then deep recession, massive unemployment, and with the third world arriving daily and breeding us into the poverty, crime and misery which coincidently follows them to whatever country they choose to impose themselves, when that happens, riots, looting, and crime will make this country as bad as the lands they left behind.
So only been in a week and jobs losses already started, Dyson cutting jobs too.
Wait until two years has passed and they can no longer blame the previous useless shower to see how bad it will really get.
God or Allah help you children, reform was the way to go as often said on here.
More scare mongering, blaming foreigners for everything wrong with the country and having us believe that Deform should be in power. Nobody voted for them because they didn’t want them. Accept it and get over it.
It is most fortunate that the UK has not allowed in millions of illegal immigrants, so many that they would make up the entire population of Manchester now.
And 1:30 people in the UK were not born here.
See what will happen as Labour gives in, and it is ordinary people, not MP’s who will have their living standards slashed to fund those with nothing, who, many in return will spike girls drinks, stab, rape and be involved in every vile crime known.
After having serious cases, not one, but several gangs of such raping just young white girls, then what will it take before you naive people see the harm that allowing in unchecked, unknown beings can cause.
Unbelievable as what, for an ordinary person IS too like about having such?
What the blue blazes has that rant got to do with the article?
In other words, make workers redundant then re employ the next day at lower wages but twice the work ?
Restructuring does not mean dire straits. Normal business doing normal business things.
“roles at risk are non-executive” Naturally.
Typical response. **** off the little guy
