The troubled Cowes Floating Bridge has been pulled from service this morning (Thursday) due to a technical issue with the vessel’s prow.
Although work was carried out on Floating Bridge No6 yesterday, the Isle of Wight Council say that it is unrelated to today’s fault.
A passenger launch is currently in operation whilst investigations are undertaken to identify the reason for the fault.
It is unknown when the Floating Bridge service will resume a normal timetable for cars and pedestrians.
