The RAF display team the Red Arrows have entertained crowds of thousands this evening (Thursday) as part of this year’s Aberdeen Asset Management Cowes Week.
At 18:50 the jets swooped across the Solent from Bournemouth putting on a low-level display in the skies above Cowes. The overcast conditions limited the performance, which appeared to be cut short as the cloud rolled in.
Tourists and locals alike crammed onto East Cowes Esplanade and throughout Cowes to catch a glimpse of the famous team, who have traditionally displayed prior to the annual firework finale on the Friday of Cowes Week. For 2015 the two have been split, with the fireworks set to explode at 21:30 tomorrow (Friday).
