Police have confirmed that the sudden death of a 37-year-old man at an address in Pan yesterday (Monday) isn’t being treated as suspicious.
Officers from Hampshire and Isle of Wight Constabulary were called to the scene on Barton Road- believed to be Howard House – just after 10:00 yesterday following the sudden death of a 37-year-old man.
Resources from the Isle of Wight Ambulance Service were also called to the scene.
The death is not being treated as suspicious and his family has been informed.
A file will be prepared for the Coroner in due course.

Problem is that there are now too many sick people due to improved health interventions. Sadly, widespread use of medications and treatments for cancer etc. all extend life but they are extending the lives of sick people who consume more and more NHS resources.
So, if you get cancer, you will decline treatment then
As someone currently living with cancer I find that remark wholly insulting and hurtful, as I’m sure my husband, children, friends and family, or anyone else suffering a possible long term condition would too.
Just cap me in the back of the head and drop me off at the tip eh since I’m such a drain on resources?

in actual pounds,.. possibly,… but in ‘real terms’ compared with inflation and spendign per-patient, it has funding has fallen year-on-year
most (working) people currently earn more now than they have in the past,.. it doesn’t mean they’re any better off,.. most are probably worse off ‘in real terms’ that they were in the past,..

if you increase spending by less than the combination of inflationand increasing patient numbers, the real-term funding goes down (as has happened over and over under this conservative government)
This is not true. As a proportion of GDP, spending on health care is the highest it has ever been. About 12% at present but only around 5% from 1970 to 2000. We are just a sick country full of old wrecks.
It has been widely reported that this rise in excess deaths compared with pre-pandemic levels in the UK is due to the ongoing collapse of the healthcare system in the UK, which has also been exacerbated by strikes. The fake correlation with vaccination is disproved by the fact that no similar increases in deaths were recorded in other countries with similar vaccine uptake rates. So stop worrying about fake vax news and actually worry about the state of our collapsing health service, which is greatly increasing the chances of you dying. You can thank the shambolic Tory government for that.
