UPDATED: Multiple Police units and paramedics are in attendance at Kerry Green Mews on Lake High Street this lunchtime (Thursday), where at least 1 person is thought to have been injured.
Emergency services, including a rapid response paramedic were called to the scene next to Lake Stores at just gone 11:00, with further units requested a short while later.
According to witnesses, officers armed with riot shields entered the mews, which is made up of a number of properties and garden space.
Unconfirmed reports suggest a man has been attacked with a hammer. The man’s condition is unknown, however he is thought to have been conveyed to St Mary’s Hospital with head injuries.
Police remain on scene and the road remains open.
UPDATE @ 13:45 – A male has been taken to St Mary’s hospital with a head injury, it has been confirmed. His condition is not thought to be life-threatening.
