Police have closed Middle Road in both directions following a 2-vehicle collision this evening (Monday).
It’s understood 1 car and 1 van have been involved in the incident close to Betty Haunt Lane.
The road is blocked and motorists are being turned around.
There are not thought to be any serious injuries at this stage.
Recovery agents are on scene and the road is expected to be cleared shortly. In the meantime, Route 7 buses are diverting via Forest Road.
UPDATE – The scene has been cleared and Southern Vectis buses are now resuming a normal service.
