Police would like to speak 2 men in connection with a shoplifting incident that occurred in Ryde last month.
On Saturday 17th June at approximately 12:40, 2 men entered the Tesco store on Brading Road and left with approximately 70 bottles of alcohol and various food items valued at more than £2,500, making no attempt to pay.
A spokesperson from Hampshire & Isle of Wight Constabulary has said:
“We now have these images of two men, seen in the area at the time, who we would like to speak to in connection with our enquiries.
“If you recognise them, or have any information that may assist our enquiries, call 101 quoting reference 44230240639.
“Alternatively, go online and submit information via https://orlo.uk/MzFhs

East Europeans by their looks.
Nobody noticed??
Should be easy to recognise, but, of course, this is during the festival so they could be long gone by now.
Look like more people from abroad
How,where is store security and store CCTV. I get chased into carpark after had paid for my slippers at self service as had tag and these two merrily put 70 bottles into car and no one even took reg number?.
By stopping you to check your payment it shows security is doing it’s job on the shop floor. These men look like trouble. Security won’t tackle anyone who looks like they can do serious damage. They’d rather tackle the milder chap who will stop & produce a receipt.
Correct, security are cowards
But they can follow and at least get number plate, Tesco’s trolleys don’t work outside car park I seem to remember as well.
Beggars belief!!!!
How did it take 14 days to get the CCTV and put it out there, they will have drunk all the alcohol by now
70 bottles + food must have been a inside job
Why am i hearing so many sirens lately in Ryde.. At least 5 or 6 per the last 3 days ? Perplexing .
Bloody Russians
Festival weekend, so probably opportunist, over for the weekend and now long gone
Well if you see an overloaded trolley with all that lot on you would be suspicious wouldn’t you
How could you shoplift 70 bottles of alcohol? Just asking for a friend!!
No sympathy for Tesco. These shops have been profiteering for yrs
a somewhat shortsighted view zoe – all that tesco will do is increase the prices on other items to offset the losses – you will be paying more for your groceries because of all the thieving low lives, which includes these two filthy deadbeats.
Shops have been doing us with their over inflation prices for the past
3 years.
Inflation is 9% and many items have been increased by over 50%
and Tesco have even reduced Clubcard points
Not English so sent them back
The delivery drivers can easily purloin that amount a DAY between them all.
Whilst rejected delivered items are deleted from the customers bills by computer, the ‘items’ are ‘supposed’ to be returned to the store for re-stocking.
Yet NO-ONE checks what has been deleted by the hand pc to what has actually ‘been’ returned.
So friends can order then cancel expensive meat or alcohol, and then the drivers can return it if honest, or leave it and collect later if not (as vans tracked to ensure they don’t drop off at home address).
Maybe things have changed there now, but somehow I doubt it.
Hang on a minute, alcohol bottles have security tags on them, so how could they walk out with 70 bottles
photo on the left looks like one of the store workers in the premier shop in brading
The guy on the right is 100% Niko Bellic,
He’s originally from Serbia. He does a lot of odd jobs around the Island. Niko’s immigrant status is uncertain and arouses suspicion. It is clearly evident that Niko’s suffering from a quarter-life crisis. Having grown up in difficult conditions and witnessed the horrors of warfare, Niko in general feels frustrated, fatalistic, confused with his life’s direction, pessimistic, overwhelmed, unappreciated, cynical, and unfulfilled.
Niko’s business-like manner usually leads him to behave more maturely and cautiously than his acquaintances, although with acquaintances like the man on the left this is no surprise.
I hope he gets his life on track and sorted out.
Too much detail. Are you a jilted lover?????
I think i have a good idea which one stole the food out of these two
If you are going to commit a crime as stupid as this, why would you not wear a disguise of some sort? Shows how thick these people are.
Dum and Dummer.
Great security this will attract the scum to Tesco’s
Dumb and Dumber you dummy Ron! Don’t mock when you can’t spell.
