Emergency services are attending a 2-car road traffic collision on Whitehouse Road near Porchfield this lunchtime (Friday).
The incident has occurred at the junction with Coleman’s Lane.
Debris is said to be scattered across the carriageway as a result of 1 car colliding with another. One of the vehicles has come to a stop in the hedge.
The road is understood to be open with some minor delays.

The mx5 was slowing for the junction, Renault behind didn’t see it braking and indicating, and shunted the mx5 into a hedge. Both drivers ok. Minor injuries.
So careless driving by the renault driver then if thats correct.
Yes it’s true, my other half was the driver in the mx5 that was hit. Negligent driving the police called it for the renault driver.

Official term for reporting it is careless driving, the officer using that term was obviously not a traffic cop.
It is a difficult junction. I use it every day, coming out of Coleman’s onto Whitehouse Road is awful, one has to pull right out to see either way and the hedges could do with a trim. At this junction, it’s not always down to bad driving.
If a vehicle collides with the rear of another that is careless driving no ifs or buts.
May not be relevant to this occasion but I agree, the whole hedge needs to be removed at that corner. It just isn’t possible to see what is coming from the left when exiting Colman’s Lane. That would be a very positive, inexpensive measure to improve road safety.
