UPDATED: Emergency services are attending a minor collision involving a pick-up and a car on Long Lane near Newport this afternoon (Wednesday).
Police and ambulance crews were called to the scene at the Downend side of Long Lane at 12:30 after a Ford Fiesta and a Mazda Pick-up collided.
No one has been seriously injured in the collision, however the road has been closed in the Westbound direction (towards Newport).
Local diversions are in place.
UPDATE – It has been confirmed that a baby has been conveyed to hospital by ambulance as a precaution.
The road has now reopened in both directions following the recovery of the vehicles.
