Best hope that with the high cost of tipping certain substances, that people don’t fill the middle of the bags up with hard to dump materials like plaster board, asbestos and even due to high funeral costs, dumping their old granny.
Surely this is the same as the green council bin idea, or is this cheaper?

As far as I can tell Onward picks up 4 weekly – useless for gardens larger than postage stamps. For this they charge 85 quid per annum. They’ll only pick up one bag. The Council provide a wheelie bin and pick up 2 weekly for 96 quid. This is still no good for me. I need a pick up at least once a week. The Council will give you two bins but then charge you twice the price even though the truck is already at your property and a second bin would take only a few more seconds to empty. There is no proportionate discount for the second bin.
The upshot is that if you don’t have a small pick-up truck of your own you are stuck with these two costly services providing not enough service. At the end of the summer you still have a pile of waste.
did you not read the site they offer a wheelie bin service that is collected 2 weekly, 4 weekly and offer extra collections.

What the hell are you running?; a garden centre, a farm? I use Onward once a month, and it saves me from filling up sacks and going to the dump; it couldn’t be easier.
At those prices it makes the Council scheme an absolute bargain…
Why can’t people just compost the garden waste themselves?
A compost bin doesn’t take up much room. There must be room even in a small garden, which logically doesn’t produce so much compostable waste, for a bin.
Bigger gardens can house several bins or a compost heap. And you can get to use the resultant compost on your garden.
There you go, saved you something just short of £100 a year.
