Police attended a 2-car shunt on a main road between Wootton and Binstead yesterday (Sunday).
Officers were called at 13:57 on Sunday to reports of a collision involving 2 vehicles on Kite Hill.
The incident saw a black Peugeot collide with a white Tesla in a rear-end shunt near the traffic lights.
Damage was sustained to the front end of the Peugeot, whilst the Tesla – which had a family on board – sustained rear-end damage.
The Peugeot was left at the scene and moved to the side of the road, where it remained this morning.
Hampshire & Isle of Wight Constabulary has confirmed that no injuries were reported.

More idiots tailgating which is normal behaviour on the island, surprised it wasn’t van man…
I genuinely believe that you live for these accidents, so that you can jump on here with your meaningless, and pointless drivel. You really do need to get some sort of a life.
It may be drivel to you, but what I’ve said is true, it’s FACT but people like you stick your head in the sand….
I suggest you read (and properly) Kevin’s comment below. Nobody disputes much of what you say, but you are constantly making the same comment over and over again. It truly serves no purpose whatsoever, and it’s becoming quite tiresome.
Nobody is sticking their head in the sand, we are just sick to death of your constant remarks stating the obvious again and again.
If it is obvious, why do you give thumbs down ??? Afraid of the truth… or are you one of those tailgating drivers,,,
What an utterly stupid comment that defies belief, as Stuart stated, read the comment I made and understand the issue raised, as Stuart clearly stated ” Nobody disputes much of what you say, ” with reference to Good Driver.
Stop writing comments without understanding the comment’s you criticize, neither Stuart or myself dispute much of what Good Driver states, do you not understand that? Tailgating and Speeding are both dangerous and illegal, we do not dispute that, you make yourself appear very stupid with your obvious misunderstanding of what is being stated.
Repeating the obvious over and over changes nothing do you not understand that? Driving will only improve when being caught reflects in the sentence being a deterrent
Perhaps they are a strong advocate for good and sensible driving and are keen to promote their view at all opportunity?
you really are a twat… the Peugeot must have been either tailgating or speeding, and not paying attention… too many on here give negative before actually thinking… just as they do when get into a vehicle.. DO NOT THINK…
Easy to call me that on here big boy, in the comfort of your complete anonymity! You clearly haven’t read what’s been written, or probably more to the point, are just too damn simple to grasp it. I pity you.
Just how sad are you? what is the point in going over the same subject again and again. We all know tailgating is an issue on the Island, most of us know it is also illegal. As for your constant reference to van drivers, yes we know.
Move on the issue exists all over the country NOT just the Island. The police know it just like the general public, you’re not telling us anything we don’t already know.
stating the obvious over and over again, may one day get through to the people that tailgate and speed…
Yawn………get a life knob heads.
Kev and stuart are 100% correct regarding your tedious and tiresome drival.
Tailgating is one thing , they need to move it , idiots slowing down to look is even worse !!
I think it’s terrible!
It’s always your fault if you run into the back of someone.
Doesn’t matter if their doing 20 in a 30 limit and your up their arse being intimidating and aggressive,if they stand on the brakes and you go into the back of them, you are at fault.
