Local non-profit organisation Wight Community Energy is running the second edition of its Green Open Homes event.
High heating bills and cold homes are problems that affect many people on the Island, but substantial improvements are possible. For people looking for first-hand impartial advice on energy-efficiency home upgrades, without any sales pressure, then the upcoming Green Open Homes event could be of interest.
Green Open Homes connects the public to homeowners who have ‘taken the plunge’ with heat pumps, solar and insulation schemes to lower their bills and improve their comfort.
If you are weighing up options for energy efficiency upgrades in the new year and would like to speak to locals, then check out Green Open Homes, being held over 2 weekends on 18th/19th January and 8th/9th February.
This year’s event features homes in Seaview, Ventnor, Niton and the West Wight.
