Due to traincrew shortages, Island Line trains are cancelling all services later this afternoon (Friday) into the evening.
South Western Railway has announced the following cancellations:
16:45 Ryde Pier Head to Shanklin due 17:10
17:15 Shanklin to Ryde Pier Head due 17:39
17:45 Ryde Pier Head to Shanklin due 18:10
18:15 Shanklin to Ryde Pier Head due 18:39
18:45 Ryde Pier Head to Shanklin due 19:10
19:15 Shanklin to Ryde Pier Head due 19:39
19:49 Ryde Pier Head to Shanklin due 20:14
20:19 Shanklin to Ryde Pier Head due 20:43
20:49 Ryde Pier Head to Shanklin due 21:14
21:19 Shanklin to Ryde Pier Head due 21:43
21:49 Ryde Pier Head to Shanklin due 22:14
22:42 Shanklin to Ryde Pier Head due 23:06
23:15 Ryde Pier Head to Ryde St Johns Road due 23:21

Short staffed ?
As they should be running a two train service every hour, then you would think that they would be double staffed.
Third class service for first class passenger’s.
Are island line a part of the national rail network or not ?
Or just when it suits them !
