The Wheatsheaf in Newport has begun an exciting new chapter as Tian and Grace Berryman officially take over as the new landlord and landlady today (Friday).
The much-loved pub has been closed for the last few days to allow for final preparations before reopening its doors with a refreshed interior, a brand-new menu, and the same warm, welcoming service the community has come to know and love.
Tian and Grace, who have been gradually getting to know regulars and visitors over recent months, say they’re thrilled to be taking the reins.
“We’ve really enjoyed meeting so many of you already,
“and we can’t wait to show you the results of all the hard work that’s gone into this transition.”
The pair also paid tribute to outgoing landlords Simon and Louise for their support and guidance during the handover period.
“They’ve been brilliant.
“We’re so grateful for their help and encouragement as we step into this new role.”
