A passionate dog owner and digital expert from the Isle of Wight is set to breathe new life into the online platform Dog Furiendly, ensuring even more dog owners can discover the best spots to visit across the country.
After 7 years of serving the dog-friendly community, Dog Furiendly was set to close its doors in October 2024. However, a new chapter now begins as the platform transitions under the guidance of Island woman, Emma Johnson.
Emma brings with her a wealth of experience with a background in marketing and interior photography. She also manages a social media account for her dogs, @TheHandsomePugs.
The 31-year-old is committed to building on Dog Furiendly’s mission by expanding and improving the platform. She plans to grow the number of dog-friendly listings across the UK – including here on the Isle of Wight – while ensuring they are as helpful and detailed as possible, making it even easier for dog owners to discover the best places to visit.
Emma says:
“I knew instantly that I wanted to be part of Dog Furiendly’s future. Adele (the Founder of Dog Furiendly) has built something amazing and I am incredibly excited to take the reins and build on the platform’s success”.
