The Vectis Historic Vehicle Club handed over a cheque for £1,000 to Mountbatten’s CEO Nigel Hartley MBE last week. The £1,000 was raised at the club’s Open Day held at Arreton Barns on 7th July, where classic cars from many Island clubs attended – despite the early rain. Members of the club recognise the great work that Mountbatten does for the Island community in end-of-life care, as well as care in the home and other health support categories. During the cheque handover on 7th August, Nigel thanked members for their continued support, which has contributed many thousands of pounds over the years. Attending with their Classic Cars at the presentation were Bill Rasmussen, Mike Brackstone, Linda Debues, Dee Brackstone, Peter Hodgson, Vickie Rasmussen, Tim Debues, Joe Kitney, Kevin Froment and Angie & Garry Driscoll.
