UPDATED: Police and ambulance crews are responding to a road traffic collision involving a motorcycle on Military Road near Brighstone this afternoon (Friday).
A motorcyclist is reported to have been knocked off their bike by another vehicle near to Isle of Wight Pearl on the A3055 between Brook and Brighstone.
2 ambulances, an ambulance officer and several Police units are on scene having been alerted to the incident at around 12:15.
The road is currently blocked in both directions whilst emergency services attend to the injured biker.
UPDATE @ 12:48 – It is understood there are at least 2 causalities involved in the incident.
The road remains blocked and therefore motorists are advised to divert locally via Brighstone and Brook.
UPDATE @ 15:06 – 2 persons have been conveyed to St Mary’s Hospital this afternoon, 1 with serious injuries.
Hampshire Constabulary have confirmed that 2 motorcycles, a Ford car and a Renault car were all involved in the incident.
