A leading motorcycle insurance specialist has revealed motorcycle riders on the Isle of Wight taking module two of their test are more likely to pass compared to anywhere else in the UK.
Having analysed Government statistics between Q1-Q3 2014/15, Bikesure has discovered Newport offers the best chance for motorcycle riders to pass with an impressive 89.3% success rate. This is followed closely by Banbury (86.5%) and Lee On The Solent (86.3%).
For those looking to pass module one, Norwich offers the best chance with an 81% success rate.
“Motorcycle enthusiasts in Newport will be thrilled to discover they have the highest rate in passing their practical tests. Like many places across the UK, the Isle of Wight has a number of bike training facilitators committed to offering riders the very best when learning to ride.”
Figures from the Driver and Vehicle Standards Agency (DVSA) show the number of people taking the two modules dropped following the introduction of a new, more complex, European licensing system in January 2013. However Bikesure has forecast the next set of DVSA statistics will show the number of UK riders taking tests on the rise from its recent dip.
Rob continues:
“We will have to wait to see what the official figures say in June but when comparing the first nine months of 2013/14 to the same period this year, the statistics reveal 5,022 more module one tests and 5,079 more module two tests have been take in 2014 /15. It looks like it has been a great year for the industry.”
Bikesure has captured the key details from the DVSA data in a free new online tool which allows riders to compare pass rates for the different modules by each test centre in the UK.
