UPDATED: A mechanical issue with one of Wightlink’s car ferries has resulted in a number of cancellations on the Yarmouth to Lymington route today (Thursday).
For at least the second time this week those crossing the Solent with Wightlink are facing significant disruption.
The 06:40, 08:45 and 11:00 sailings from Lymington and the 07:50, 10:05 and 12:05 sailings from Yarmouth have all been cancelled.
Wightlink apologise for any changes to your travel plans.
UPDATE @ 09:37 – Wightlink have announced that they have had to cancel the 13:00 sailing from Lymington and the 14:05 sailing from Yarmouth.
UPDATE @ 13:34 – Wightlink have now announced that they have had to cancel the 15:00 from Lymington and the 16:05 from Yarmouth. This is despite saying that repairs were nearly complete to one of their ferry’s engines just 25 minutes ago.
UPDATE @ 16:50 – Wightlink have confirmed that the mechanical repairs to the engine on board one of the Yarmouth ferries has now been completed and the service has returned to the scheduled timetable.
