The Maritime and Coastguard Agency have launched an appeal for witnesses to last month’s collision between the Red Funnel ferry and a motor yacht on the Solent.
The incident took place at 16:35 on Saturday 29th September as the Red Falcon was departing Southampton Water past Calshot Spit, en-route to East Cowes.
As previously reported by Island Echo, the motor yacht was taken to the safety of Cowes Harbour where 2 persons were checked over by paramedics from the Isle of Wight Ambulance Service. Thankfully, they did not require any further treatment.
Red Falcon sustained no damage and no one was injured on the ferry either.
