Bembridge Coastguard Rescue Team assisted the Isle of Wight Ambulance Service in moving an injured male from the beach at St Helens Duver yesterday evening (Thursday).
The assistance of HM Coastguard was requested due to the difficult position of the casualty, who is thought to have broken his hip.
Coastguard Rescue Officers worked with paramedics to carefully transfer the injured male into a basket stretcher before evacuating the casualty to the awaiting ambulance.
The male was taken to St Mary’s Hospital, Newport for treatment.
