A man armed with a knife, who allegedly attempted to steal a dog from a house in East Cowes last night (Thursday), has been arrested by Police.
Officers responded to the town at around 18:30 following reports from concerned locals that a male had attempted to gain entry to a property on Castle Street.
It’s been reported on social media that a male opened the car door of a female stranger near to Waitrose too.
Hampshire Constabulary has now confirmed that a 33-year-old man from Cowes has been arrested on suspicion of aggravated burglary.
He remains in custody at this time.
Dangerous man. Hope the courts lock him up. No excuse for this violent behaviour.
Agree. Though he’ll probably get let off because the authorities will say ‘he’s got mental health issues’.
No worries that the public are not safe with people walking around with knives trying to steal whatever they want. No!!!!! Very worrying times.
Lock him up & throw the key away! Lunatics running around with knives, no good what so ever to society what so ever!
Where the hell do these ‘numptys’ come from?
What gives anyone the right to steal from others…….nothing.
Get a job and buy whatever you want yourself. Start giving and stop taking. Have some self respect for God sake.
