38-year-old Michael Leigh Phillips has been charged with 2 counts of causing grievous bodily harm with intent, making threats to kill and assault occasioning actual bodily harm following an incident between Christmas Day and Boxing Day.
Phillips, of no fixed abode, is alleged to have assaulted 3 women at an address in Carisbrooke Road, Newport over the Christmas period.
He has been remanded in custody to appear at Portsmouth Magistrates’ Court today (Monday).
He faces a further charge of criminal damage.
Been a alcoholic, sponger and drain on all public resources for many, many years.
And still while inside he will continue to be a drain on prison resources.
What is society supposed to do with him?
wrap him in cotton wool and blame his upbringing probably. lets hope he goes to jail and they find out he’s a woman beater!
Prisons are full of people with his mind set.

Except that’s a fantasy that no longer exists. We don’t really PUNISH people anymore, we “rehabilitate” them, and judging by the rate of reoffending we don’t even do that with most of them.
Spithead. One day he’ll do it yo the wrong woman and get a bloody good hiding.
What a brave (not) waste of a man. Make an example of him by letting a few of our gals from Pan having a few words with him in a locked room for 10 minutes or so. I bet he wouldn’t be such a toughie then!!!
