A 63-year-old man has been arrested on suspicion of 2 counts of assault and using violence to gain entry after an incident at a residential address in Ryde this afternoon (Tuesday).
Officers from Hampshire & Isle of Wight Constabulary were called at 13:13, after receiving reports of a disturbance within an address on Monterey Road.
Having attended the scene, a 63-year-old man was arrested on suspicion of assault by beating, using violence to gain entry, and assaulting a police officer.
The male remains in custody at this time.
