A local gardening business is giving back to the Isle of Wight community with a free garden care giveaway open to residents across the Island.
RT Home & Garden, run by Island-born Ryan Thomas-Morey, has launched the 2026 Garden Care Giveaway as a way to thank customers for their support since the business first started 4 years ago.
The giveaway will provide one deserving Island resident with a full garden transformation – including clearance of overgrowth and free monthly maintenance for the entire 2026 season. A pair of lucky runners-up will also receive a one-off general tidy.
Ryan, who began the business with general gardening jobs, now maintains over 60 gardens fortnightly, along with monthly clients and larger landscaping projects across the Isle of Wight. He says the success of the company is down to word-of-mouth, positive reviews and strong community backing.
On the journey so far, Ryan has said:

“I’ve always wanted to give something back to those who might be struggling — whether due to age, health or finances — and this felt like the right way to do it.”
Nominations are open now and can be made via a simple online form. The giveaway is only open to Isle of Wight residents and doesn’t require social media engagement to enter.
Each nomination will be personally reviewed by Ryan and his team, with 3 finalists chosen for garden visits before a final decision is made. The aim, he says, is not just to tidy a garden, but to hear people’s stories and offer real, lasting support.
Nominations close on 31st October 2025, with the winner and runners-up announced on 14th November 2025.
