Ventnor Coastguard Rescue Team were called into action last night, as were Gosport and Fareham Inshore Rescue Service (GAFIRS), when a motorboat ran out of fuel near East Cowes.
The crew of ‘Amy Jane Bayliner’ alerted Solent Coastguard that they were in a spot of bother close to Osborne Bay at around 21:30.
Knowing that fuel was an issue GARIFS arrived on scene armed with petrol.
Ventnor Coastguard Rescue Team were called to meet the vessel at Island Harbour and provide safety advice due to poor condition of the vessel with a lack of navigation lights.
