This is your weekly round-up of some of the latest court cases heard at the Isle of Wight Magistrates Court.

Monday 7th November – Friday 11th November 2022
• Robert John Curtis, 63, of Hindon Lane in Tisbury, Salisbury pleaded guilty to drink driving on an e-Scooter (52). He was banned from driving for 12 months, fined £523 and ordered to pay a £209 surcharge with £85 costs.
• Luke Francis Fauvel, 38, care of Roach Pittis Solicitors, was handed a criminal behaviour order for 3 years prohibiting him from entering Newport Town Centre.
• Dale Christopher Gill, 31, of Pyle Street in Newport, admitted breaching the requirements of a community order. The order was revoked and he was re-sentenced for the original offence. He was handed an 11-week prison sentence.
• Kenneth Berry, 63, of St James’ Street in Ryde, was found guilty of assault by beating. He was fined £2,000 and ordered to pay £300 compensation, costs of £620 and a surcharge of £190. He was made subject to a 2-year restraining order.
• David Paler, 36, of Albert Way in East Cowes admitted failing to comply with the requirements of a community order. The sentence was revoked and resentenced, with 100 hours of unpaid work over the next 12 months. He was ordered to pay costs of £60.
• Kirsty Gibbons, 47, of Queens Road, Newport, pleaded guilty to assault by beating. She was handed a 12-month community order with 25 rehabilitation days. She was also made subject to a 6-month restraining order and was ordered to pay £200 costs.
• Richard Thompson, 48, of Love Lane, Cowes, pleaded guilty to harassment without violence. He was made subject to a 12-month community order with 100 hours of unpaid work. He was also given a restraining order for 6 months. He was ordered to pay £85 costs with a £95 surcharge.
• Ruby Owen, 26, of Fitzroy Street, Sandown pleaded guilty to assault by beating. She was ordered to pay £100 compensation and £40 costs in £20 instalments, deducted from her benefits.
• Sara Story, 60, of Mitchell Avenue, Ventnor, pleaded guilty to assault by beating. She was handed a 10-month conditional discharge and ordered to pay £300 costs with a £22 surcharge.
• Thomas Kerr, 50, of Station Road, Brading pleaded guilty to possession of a Class A drug (heroin) and possession of a Class B drug (cannabis). He was fined £120 and ordered to pay £85 costs with a £34 surcharge.
• Daisy Wylds, 19, of The Terrace, Chale pleaded guilty to drug driving (cannabis). She was banned from driving for 12 months and ordered to pay £85 costs with a £48 surcharge.
• Benjamin Charles, 32, of Crocker Street, Newport pleaded guilty to assault a personal thereby occasioning them actual bodily harm. He was handed a 2-year community order with 40 rehabilitation days and a drug rehabilitation requirement of 18 months attached. He was ordered to pay £300 costs.
• Craig Carey, 36, of Crossway, Bembridge pleaded guilty to failing to surrender to bail and failing to provide a specimen for analysis. He was banned from driving for 24 months and made subject to a 12-month community order with 25 rehabilitation days. He was ordered to pay £85 costs and a £114 surcharge.
• Jonathan Nash, 58, of Westcourt Close, Shorwell, pleaded guilty to failing to surrender to bail and sending by public communication network an offensive/indecent/obscene/menacing message/matter. He was made subject to a 12-month community order with 20 rehabilitation days and a 6-month alcohol treatment requirement attached. He was also ordered to pay £85 costs and was fined £80.
• Thomas Kirby, 32, of Slade Road, Ryde pleaded guilty to failing to provide. He was banned from driving for 14 months, fined £276 and ordered to pay £85 costs with a £110 surcharge.
• Danielle Mulkern, 31, of Lower Furlongs, Brading, pleaded guilty to drink driving (82) and failing to stop after a road accident. She was banned from driving for 20 months and ordered a 12-month community order with 25 rehabilitation days and 120 hours of unpaid work attached.
• Raymond Jennings, 56, of Alverstone Road, Newchurch pleaded guilty to failing to provide a specimen for analysis. He was banned from driving for 3 years and was handed a 12-month community order with 100 hours of unpaid work and 15 rehabilitation days attached. He must also pay £85 costs with a £114 surcharge.
• Steven Tunney, 48, of St James Street, Newport, pleaded guilty to stalking involving serious harm/distress. He was handed a 24-week prison sentence and a 2-year restraining order. He was ordered to pay £85 costs.
• Steven Yeo, 25, of no fixed abode, pleaded guilty to criminal damage. He was ordered to pay £300 compensation and £85 costs.

Perhaps ALL criminals should be conscripted into the Army, as NOW it looks highly likely that WW3 is about to start as Russia has likely deliberately fired a missel into Poland.
As most live here now, only two were killed but an attack on a NATO country means war.
Putin is testing the weakness of NATO, and if, as is likely they do like the West always does, very little, then Nukes will be used on Ukraine imo, as Putin will know that the West will still do nothing to harm him personally.
