33-year-old Islander Joe Silvester swapped the Isle of Wight for the beaches of Spain to take part in the first series of First Dates Beach Club.
Support worker Joe, headed to the Valhalla Beach Club in Spain to take part in the first series of First Dates Beach Club – a spin-off of the hit Channel 4 First Dates.
Upon arriving at resort in Cadiz, Joe chatted with host Fred Sirieix and sampled a mojito made by bartender and mixologist Merlin Griffiths.
The 33-year-old, who said he had never had a girlfriend, was matched with veterinary nurse Emily. The pair enjoyed a romantic meal before chatting with cocktails at the poolside bar.
The episode ended on a cliff-hanger with viewers having to wait until the following night to see if Emily had said yes to another date with Joe, who said he enjoyed the date ‘very much’.
Thankfully, on Thursday’s episode, the 35-year-old did said yes to a second date.
