A man who grew up in Adgestone here on the Isle of Wight has been unveiled as the menace behind the international graffiti tag ’10 Foot’.
The MailOnline has dubbed 36-year-old Sam Moore ‘Britain’s biggest graffiti artist’ after revealing his identity for the very first time.
Investigations and doorstepping by Daily Mail reporters have unveiled that Moore is the son of a former Isle of Wight GP and that he attended Sandown High School, close to the farm in nearby Adgestone where he lived with his mother and stepfather.
It’s claimed by the tabloid that Sam Moore is responsible for hundreds of tags not only across London but the world, as far away as Cuba. The damage is estimated to be in the region of £1million.
Moore was jailed 13 years ago for a period of 26 months for causing £113,000 of damage in London. He was also slapped with a 5-year anti-social behaviour order banning him from possessing paint or a pen after he admitted 25 counts of criminal damage.
It’s thought that Moore has placed a ’10 Foot’ tag somewhere on the Isle of Wight, but the exact location is unknown.

He’s a criminal,not an artist.
Plenty of old tags, but none 10ft tall.
No such thing as art, feral vandalising scum who is better off the island – what a disappointment to his parents.
Cut the cretins hands off, that might help, detest this particular type of criminal damage, it blights areas and makes them look seedy, morons like this are a curse.
I know the bloke. He’s certainly not a ‘cretin’ he has a high IQ- do you know what that is? He would be just fine without his hands.
he hasn’t got a high IQ – if he had, then he would not be spending his time wrecking property that belongs to someone else.
he’s a fantastic addition to the culture of the island! most of the isle is old & decrepit anyway.
the area is very decrepit, old & dirty, i think this adds a funky cool element to the culture.
His work is second rate at best.
I agree with what Terry said, what he does is criminal damage, simple as that
Son of a GP, living on a farm.
Basically another bored privileged white boy. Makes me heave.
He might be privileged but get out of here with your antiwhite racism.
well said rich – fed up with these guilt ridden, anti white apologists infesting our society.
It’s a joke isn’t it, Martin Luther King must be turning in his grave.
i think the area could do with a bit more of this kind of cool street art, he’s a very popular artist who’s been published recently in a major newspaper! hopefully this encourages more people from ethnic backgrounds to visit us wighters! love it
Better looking than County Hall !.
Pathetic comments. Graffiti is not a crime.
Youngest looking 36 year old ever.
Banksy can get away with it and even get praised for his graffiti.
He doesn’t set a very good example.
Give him an aerosol can suppositorie.
All these middle aged people with stupidly funny comments.
Graffiti is a form of artwork, yes it’s vandalism some graffiti work is nice to look at, but some isn’t.
Buildings and trains are a good canvas for people like him. If he done a nice/good piece of work that’s not offensive is that such a bad thing?
People need to re think graffiti it’s a way of putting your mind in a different place if you go through a bad and depressing time. Give it another look, yeah?
So, another ‘generation entitled snivelling brat’, you openly admit its vandalism, which in itself is a crime and you still publicly defend such actions. Then you have the gall to tell people to get their heads in a different place, you are truly outstanding in your level of arrogant stupidity. Run along now, and do a lot of growing up.
i think he’s a fantastic addition to the culture of the island, great article about him in the financial times. open your mind!
When your train is taken out of service because some little scrote like that has vandalised the windows so you are then late for work, would you call that art?
There is no place for this and people like Blanksy are no better. Vandalism is what it has always been regardless of content and how decorative it is.
Anyone caught should be made to clean off what they have done.
If they want to paint something, let them paint their own property and leave everyone else’s alone.
Ha, doubt someone like Olly would be working, probably some off grid, benefit sponging hippie activist with his nose glued to the road causing untold inconvenience to the hard working masses.
olly – you are an imbecile – what makes you think it is acceptable for some d ickhead to deface and ruin the buildings and trains that are the property of someone else. To clean that mess up, is he paying for it – no the building and train owners have to. which means higher rents and higher ticket prices to the customer – in other words, you and me and everyone else
get a grip will you
i think he’s a fantastic artist
His tags where at Ryde skatepark before it was refurbished and there was another down Cesar’s road on a building that has now been demolished
Quite easy make him clean it off
He’s fantastic!
fantastic! more of this echo! out with the oldies & in with new generation!
