Police are investigating a report of a man indecently exposing himself near a picnic area in Merstone yesterday morning (Thursday).
Just after 09:50 a man, aged in his thirties, and a woman, aged in her twenties were cycling on the Red Squirrel Trail cycle path near Merstone Station. They saw a man indecently exposing himself close to the picnic benches just north of Merstone Lane. The man didn’t say anything and no-one was hurt.
They described the man as:
- White
- Around 30-years-old
- Slim build
- Dark hair
- Wearing a tracksuit
Police believe other people were in the area at the time and want to hear from you if you saw a man acting suspiciously..
A Hampshire & Isle of Wight Constabulary spokesperson has said:
“Additionally, if you have any other information which may assist in our investigation, including any dash cam, doorbell camera, or CCTV footage from the area, please contact us on 101 and quote incident number 44250433958.”
