Investigations are underway after a man suffered a serious head injury at an address in Binstead yesterday evening (Friday).
As previously reported by Island Echo, paramedics descended on an address on Pitts Lane, Binstead at around 17:30.
At the address a man in his 50s had sustained a serious head injury and had to be flown to Southampton General Hospital by the Hampshire & Isle of Wight Air Ambulance (HIOWAA, which had landed at the nearby Binstead Rec
Around an hour after their blue-light colleagues from the Isle of Wight Ambulance Service, Hampshire & Isle of Wight Constabulary were called to the scene.
They have since confirmed that enquiries into the incident and just how the male came to be injured are ongoing. No arrests have been made at this time.
