A weather warning has been issued by local weather forecaster IW Met Service for ice, with cold weather set to move in overnight (Monday into Tuesday).
Ice will develop from around 22:00 tonight and will set in until around 13:00 on Tuesday.
The drop in mercury will lead to a widespread frost, as well as the freezing of any run-off and surface water from the recent heavy rainfall.
Ice sheets and black ice on roads and walkways will lead to extremely slippery and hazardous driving conditions in places, especially in more rural parts, whilst the risk of accidents or injuries from slipping on what appears to be a wet pavement or walkway, when it is, in fact, invisible black ice.




























































































I wonder how many drivers take any notice, none I expect…
You are perfectly right, the Island roads had so many puddles all this rainy days but so many drivers don’t take in consideration the weather conditions and drive like the roads are dry, speeding and guess what , some of them broke down in the puddles (KARMA I would say)
Beware anyway but especially remember that not all roads will be treated
