Hovertravel services have been suspended this morning (Friday) as a result of the adverse weather conditions.
Heavy rain and strong winds are currently lashing the Island, resulting in the Ryde-Southsea route being halted.
The cross-Solent operator says that an update is expected at 09:00, but as always it’s unclear if services will resume at this time. The worst of the weather is expected to pass later on this morning.
Tickets are being accepted on Wightlink’s Fastcat service between Ryde Pier Head and Portsmouth Harbour.
All other cross-Solent services are running to timetable.
UPDATE @ 17:15 – Services are to resume at 17;45 from Ryde.
