Adverse weather conditions are continuing to hamper cross-Solent travel with Hovertravel services suspended once again this morning (Friday).
Hovertravel has confirmed that it’s Ryde to Southsea service has been brought to a halt due to the strong winds.
An update is to be provided at 07:45, but as always there is no guarantee services will resume at that time.
Tickets are being accepted on Wightlink’s Fastcat in the meantime.
Elsewhere on the Solent, Red Funnel has confirmed that the 06:05 and 07:15 Red Jet sailings from Southampton have been cancelled alongside the 06:40 and 07:50 sailings from West Cowes.
This is due to the weather, in conjunction with Red Jet 4’s Operating Limit
UPDATE @ 08:21 – Red Jet services have now returned to normal, but Hovertravel say their Ryde-Southsea service remains suspended.
An update is due at 08:45.
UPDATE @ 11:18 – Hovertravel services remain suspended with an update due at 11:45.
UPDATE @ 14:44 – Hovertravel services have resumed, but further cancellations are expected on Saturday.
