UPDATED: Commuters and day trippers crossing the Solent via Hovertravel tomorrow (Friday) are facing significant disruption due to yet another technical issue.
1 of the troubled Flyer hovercraft has been pulled from service for what has been described as a technical issue, but the cross-Solent operator hasn’t expanded on this.
It’s thought the problem is fairly significant as Hovertravel have been able to give several hours notice and say that an update won’t be provided until 13:00 tomorrow afternoon.
Passenges are advised to allow additional time for their journey.
Hovertravel have said:
”We thank you for your understanding and apologise for any inconvenience caused”.
UPDATE FRIDAY @ 10:33 – Hovertravel’s cross-Solent service has been suspended altogether due to the adverse weather conditions.
The company are yet to expand on the technical issue affecting Solent Flyer.
