An Isle of Wight country band has released its long-awaited debut album after spending the past 2 years drawing inspiration from Nashville’s renowned songwriting scene.
Honky-Tonk Highway’s ‘Love And Fear’ was made available earlier this week on all major streaming platforms.
The 10-track album was recorded at Colourbox Studios and produced by Dave Priddle and Cameron Voysey. It follows 2 years in which the band immersed themselves in Nashville’s songwriting culture, attending writing sessions across Music City to develop their craft.
The band says those experiences helped shape the album’s storytelling and musical style.
Drawing inspiration from artists including Eagles, Luke Combs, George Strait and Keith Urban, Love And Fear blends elements of country, Americana and rock.
Members of Honky-Tonk Highway also bring a wealth of musical experience, having spent a combined 45 years performing in function bands. Their influences span a wide range of artists, from Prince and Stevie Wonder to Dolly Parton and The Rolling Stones.
The band says the album captures the energy of its live performances, the spirit of Isle of Wight life and the emotional themes that have become central to its music.
