The IW Met Service have issued a yellow weather warning for heavy rain tomorrow (Sunday).

Forecasters say that spells of rain arriving during the early hours of Sunday morning will be come very heavy at times, with the potential for some torrential downpours which may lead to localised flooding.

8-12mm of rain is expected to fall across the Isle of Wight, although up to 25mm is possible locally.

Generalised surface water and poor driving conditions are to be expected, which may lead to some disruption on the roads.

The rain is set to ease as the day progresses leading to a mostly cloudy, damp afternoon with a little light rain or drizzle at times.

The weather warning is in force from 03:00 until 14:00 tomorrow.
