A swimmer has been rushed to hospital after suffering a suspected heart attack on the beach at Seagrove Bay this afternoon (Tuesday).
The man in his 50s, who is on holiday on the Isle of Wight, is understood to have taken a turn after coming out of the water.
His family raised the alarm at around 13:30 with a Community First Responder from Ryde arriving on scene, swiftly followed by a Doctor, a paramedic crew and an Operational Commander from the Isle of Wight Ambulance Service.
Bembridge Coastguard Rescue Team were also mobilised to provide assistance.
Emergency services have now stood down from the incident with the casualty conveyed to St Mary’s Hospital in Newport.
