The Island’s gritting fleet is set to be deployed tonight (Thursday) due to the anticipated low temperatures overnight.
Island Roads say that gritters will depart from Stag Lane at 23:00.
Over the next year days the mercury is expected to drop once again with Saturday and Sunday looking particular cold, with the possible risk of snowfall.
Foot bridge decks at Stag Lane and Foxes Road in Newport will also be treated tonight.
