The Island’s gritting team will be deployed across the Isle of Wight tonight (Monday) due to the forecast low temperatures.
Gritters will be out in force from 20:30 treating the usual routes, as well as pedestrian bridge decks at Stag Lane and Foxes Road, Newport.
The rain is set to clear away after dinner but the roads will be well saturated, which could cause problems for motorists are the mercury plummets.
2 weather warnings are in force for the Isle of Wight tomorrow with both severe gales and heavy rain, possibly even hail, expected. Read more on this at https://www.islandecho.co.uk/second-weather-warning-issued-for-tuesday-with-heavy-rain-now-set-to-hit/.
