Plummeting temperatures mean that gritting lorries will be out and about across the Isle of Wight this afternoon. Island Roads and their fleet of gritters will head out at 15:00 this afternoon, whilst a 2nd run will take place at around 05:00 on Tuesday morning. A current weather warning – issued by local weather forecaster IW Met Service- for ice is in place until 11:00 tomorrow.
To find a list of all the Island's gritting routes, you can visit our dedicated Isle of Wight Gritting Routes & Winter Maintenance page.
