Another cold night is in store for the Isle of Wight with gritters set to be deployed from 20:00 this evening (Friday).
Island Roads say that the decision has been taken to treat the usual routes due to the forecast low temperatures.
Forecasters IW Met Service say that the evening will start with clear spells but low cloud will push in from the channel along with a few mist and fog patches developing in more northern and western parts. A slight frost will develop away from windward coasts.
Temperatures are expected to be 0-2c in central and northern parts, 2-4c elsewhere and around 7c on windward coasts. Winds east-northeast 5-12mph becoming south later.
Motorists are being advised to drive according to the conditions.
