Fire crews are tackling a garage blaze on a residential road in Brading this evening (Friday).
Hampshire & Isle of Wight Fire and Rescue Service has crews from Ryde, Sandown and Shanklin on scene at Nicholas Close.
The outbuilding – which sits alongside a bungalow – is well alight with firefighters using breathing apparatus and hose reels to control and extinguish the fire.
Smoke can be seen rising into the night sky.
The incident began at around 17:30 and has seen a total of 3 appliances and 2 duty officers mobilised.
