Freshwater Bay Ladies Golf Club welcomed players for its annual Ladies Open, with glorious weather providing the perfect backdrop despite challenging course conditions caused by the recent dry spell.
Competitors took part in a Bowmaker competition, with the best 2 scores from each team of 3 counting on every hole.
Following the day’s golf, players enjoyed a running buffet as the event drew to a close.
Claiming victory with an impressive 73 points were Claire Matejowsy, Shelagh Merrifield and Jan Little.
Finishing in 2nd place with 69 points were Jackie Mouat, Kate Palfrey and Nikki Glasgow.
Despite the testing conditions underfoot, the event proved to be another enjoyable and successful occasion for all involved at Freshwater Bay Golf Club.
