A yellow weather warning for localised mist and fog has been issued for the Isle of Wight, with conditions becoming hazardous overnight and as the sun rises on Tuesday morning.
IW Met Service has issued the warning tonight stating that patches will develop overnight and will become locally dense as dawn approaches, especially in rural parts.
Eastern parts of the Island are likely to be somewhat more patchy than the western half and some areas will remain completely fog free.
Forecasters say that the mist and fog will likely lift into low cloud for a time during the morning before clearing completely for the afternoon.
Motorists should be aware of sudden and dramatic reduction in visibility over very short distances leading to hazardous driving conditions in places.
There could also be delays and cancellations to public transport, especially cross-Solent travel
The warning is in force from 01:00 until 11:00 on Tuesday.

At last a mitigating circumstance for overturned cars, cars in hedges, cars knocking down wall, or colliding with other vehicles or people.
Let’s hope A and E don’t strike.
Car up a bank, nearly, not quite in the hedge in Rookley this morning!
