IW Met Service has extended its yellow weather warning for fog across the Isle of Wight.
A warning was issued yesterday afternoon due to the predicted adverse conditions overnight and into today. Now, that warning has been extended right through until Tuesday afternoon.
Forecasters say that some patchy fog will remain throughout the rest of this afternoon followed by increasingly widespread areas of fog once again as we move into the evening and overnight.
By tomorrow morning, IW Met Service is expecting some extremely dense areas of fog along with localised freezing fog which will make roads, pavements and surfaces very slippery locally. This, combined with the fog, will give some hazardous travelling conditions along with further delays to cross Solent travel.
Gritters are set to be deployed from 21:00 tonight, as previously reported by Island Echo.
Warn as much as thay like, it won’t make any difference to the idiot’s crashing cars..
And another thing, don’t forget to put your HEADLIGHTS and fog lamp on in these conditions, it makes me so cross.
