UPDATED: The Environment Agency has issued a flood alert for the Isle of Wight coast overnight tonight (Wednesday), particularly for the areas of Cowes and East Cowes.
Albany Road, East Cowes is anticipated to flood, although no property flooding is expected. Water levels will be high up slipways through Cowes.
High water is due at 00:08 (Thursday), forecast to be 4.79 metres above chart datum. The local wind strength is Force 4 in a Westerly direction.
A Flood Alert is also likely to be in force for the lunchtime high tide tomorrow (Thursday 17th November).
UPDATE THURSDAY – A flood alert for the Isle of Wight coast remains in place for this lunchtime’s high tide, expected at 12:30.
Tides will be 4.27 metres above chart datum, less than yesterday, however local wind strength is set to increase to Force 6 in a South Westerly direction.
