The Isle of Wight Fire and Rescue Service were called to a kitchen fire in East Cowes earlier this afternoon (Monday).
A retained crew from East Cowes and a wholetime appliance from Newport were mobilised to a residential address on Marina Close, off Britannia Way, at 14:00.
A duty officer was also in attendance at the incident at the end of the residential cul-de-sac.
The fire was out on arrival but positive pressure ventilation was utilised to rid smoke from the building.
Crews have since stood down.
