Firefighters from Shanklin have tackled a small car fire at the top of Lake Hill this evening (Tuesday).
1 retained appliance was mobilised to the scene near to Battery Gardens at just before 17:20.
Smoke is understood to have filled the inside of the silver VW Polo, but thankfully the occupants escaped from the vehicle unharmed.
Traffic was backed up in the area for a time but has since eased.
